I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo. My research interests include mathematical optimization and its applications to control, machine learning, and other fields.
Currently, I am working remotely for health reasons.

- Oct. 2025: One paper was accepted for publication in the Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications.
- Jun. 2025: Received the Outstanding Presentation Award from the Research Association of Optimization Theory and Algorithms.
- May 2025: Updated the paper entitled “A primal-dual interior point trust region method for second-order stationary points of Riemannian inequality-constrained optimization problems” and uploaded “Local near-quadratic convergence of Riemannian interior point methods” to arXiv. The previous manuscript was expanded with additional analyses and split into these two articles.
- Jan. 2025: New preprint “A primal-dual interior point trust region method for inequality-constrained optimization problems on Riemannian manifolds” is available on arXiv.
- Apr. 2024: Selected as a recipient of the Research Encouragement Special Allowance based on research activities during the JSPS DC fellowship.
- Sep. 2023: One paper was accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control.
- Apr. 2022: Took a leave of absence due to suspected Long COVID.
- Dec. 2021: Received the Excellent Presentation Award at the GCL/IIW Ph.D. Student Poster Session.
- Dec. 2021: New preprint “Stable linear system identification with prior knowledge by elastic Riemannian sequential quadratic optimization” is available on arXiv.
- Dec. 2021: One paper was accepted by SIAM Journal on Optimization.
- Sep. 2021: Received the Student Thesis Award from the Operations Research Society of Japan.
- May 2021: My research interview is available on YouTube.
- May 2021: My research is featured on RIISE, UTokyo.
- Apr. 2021: Started my Ph.D. program at the University of Tokyo. Also a JSPS Research Fellow (DC1).
- Nov. 2020: A research proposal was selected for Sprouting Research in Value Exchange Engineering at RIISE, UTokyo.
- Sep. 2020: New preprint “Sequential quadratic optimization for nonlinear optimization problems on Riemannian manifolds” is available on arXiv.
